Tom Sawyer, a naughty young kid, witnesses the murder of Injun Joe, who is on the run from the law. When Tom meets Huckleberry Finn, a young man with no prospects or family, the two become friends. Because the town's alcoholic is being held responsible for the murder, Tom is forced to choose between respecting a relationship and upholding an oath. Tom and Huck embark on a series of excursions in an attempt to get evidence from the scene.
